3. CLASSROOM OBSERVATION DAYS at each Elementary School * for parents/guardians only, no children

Sign up with your school for a chance to see the Kindergarten classrooms in action!
This is a formal tour with a maximum of 10 adults to reduce disruption to the classrooms being observed.
Each school holds its own sign up process.

Get ready in January with forms & documents, February 3 will sneak up on you fast! Details below.
This will be a fun, family-friendly, community event! Get on a school bus and meet the driver, see what it feels like to sit in it! Supervised activities for children while parents/guardians are doing school registration, community partners like Forbes Library (free library cards) and YMCA to greet you, plenty of parking.

- Nov 30, 5:30-6:30: VIRTUAL ZOOM KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION NIGHT for parents. Presentation held with all 4 elementary principals, some K staff, the Registrar, and the Early Childhood Center to talk about the Kindergarten program at all 4 elementary schools
- Jan 17, 5:15-6:30: SCHOOL INFORMATION SESSION & TOUR HOUR -- simultaneously at all 4 schools (BSS, JSS, Leeds, RR)
- Jan 25, Jan 31, & Feb 6: CLASSROOM OBSERVATION DAYS for parents to visit Kindergarten classrooms at their home school
- SATURDAY, February 3, 9:00-12:00: KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION DAY and Celebration! THE BIG EVENT! for parents & FAMILIES to come to a school to register their child for fall. Supervised play for children, a chance to ride the school bus in the JFK loop, community partners like Forbes Library with free library cards, all to support you and your child having a wonderful transition to Kindergarten. Support for parents/guardians to fill out paperwork and provide documents (medical, identity, and residence); Spanish translation support.
