COVID-19 UPDATE
This year 2020-2021 is a dynamic one -- most learning since September 2020 has been virtual, by vote of the Northampton School Committee. Recent shifts to -- and out of -- hybrid learning are guided by the Massachusetts COVID numbers, in-depth assessment of ventilation and staffing for every classroom in the district, agreements worked out in advance, and general attention to public health guidelines.
- Virtual learning: Since September 2020. All students who prefer can remain in virtual learning. Students log into live instruction that is supplemented by activities and additional learning on a classroom dojo.
- Hybrid learning: Began in December 2020 for a limited number of students who wish to attend in-person. Students attend in-person classes 2 days a week: Cohort A is MT and Cohort B is ThF. Learning on other days of the week is supplemented by activities and additional learning on a classroom dojo.
BELOW is our usual Kindergarten process.
- KINDERGARTEN LINK to the Northampton Public Schools website, which is regularly updated.
- The "usual Kindergarten process" information below remains on the page so you can see what might happen for Kindergarten class of 2021-2022.
